| Hollar & Penn Mowing & Towing, LLC is a fully licensed and insured, family owned and operated business located in Fairfax, Virginia. We are a Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited business and have a Class C Contractors License with the state of Virginia. We are a member of the Northern Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association (NVNLA) and the Virginia Turfgrass Council (VTC). Mowing & Towing, LLC handles residential and commercial customers including neighborhood pools, churches and HOAs. Mowing & Towing, LLC offers lawn services such as mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, aeration, overseeding, and dethatching. We can also spruce up your beds in the spring or fall by weeding and laying mulch. Yard clean-ups can include bush trimming and shrub and small tree removal. In the fall we offer full yard leaf clean-up and curbside removal using powerful backpack and push blowers and a high powered leaf vacuum. When it snows in the winter, let us come clear your walk or plow your driveway. Need delivery of bulk materials? Can't get that junk to the dump in your car? About the Owner/Operator James Penn has over fifteen years experience in the field of lawn maintenance and over 150,000 miles of trailer driving under his belt. He is the founder and owner of Mowing & Towing, LLC and has been involved in the day-to-day operations of the business since its inception in 2002. James, who was born and raised in Fairfax, VA, is a Virginia Certified Pesticide Applicator, an ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certified Master Technician, an Eagle Scout and he holds two Associate of Applied Science degrees in Automotive Technology (one with an Emissions Specialization) from Northern Virginia Community College. When not working, James enjoys welding and fabrication, working on his diesel truck and getting his hands dirty. When he's cleaned up, he enjoys teaching Cadence and Allegra about lawn mowers and other noisy machines. | |||

About the Business Manager Gillian Penn has been working with James and Mowing & Towing, LLC since 2002. Born and raised in Arlington, VA, Gillian holds a Bachelors Degree in Sociology-Anthropology from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA. Gillian handles the administrative side of the business including customer correspondence, invoicing, bill paying, scheduling, taxes, etc. She has previously worked as an event planner and executive assistant among other things. In her spare time, Gillian enjoys ringing handbells, reading, playing with Cadence and Allegra and driving her minivan and diesel truck. James and Gillian were married in June 2006. |

About Boss Lady #1 Cadence Georgia Cecilia Penn has been working with James, Gillian and Mowing & Towing, LLC since she was born on August 4, 2009 at Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax, VA. Currently, she is an excellent sleeper since she started sleeping through the night around 2 months of age and she loves giving everyone big smiles, waves, and high fives. Her pastimes include walking and running everywhere, reading books, stacking and organizing things, playing outside, identifying "big" trucks, talking up a storm, splashing in the bath, going to preschool two days a week and screaming happily at the top of her lungs. Her absolute favorite person is Daddy and she is happiest supervising him as he mows the lawn. She is a great big sister to our newest arrival! |

About Boss Lady #2 Allegra Courtney Emily Penn has been working with James, Gillian, Cadence and Mowing & Towing, LLC since she was born on November 10, 2011. Currently, she is busy being very cute, sleeping a lot, and trying to figure out her days and nights. She has a lot of hair like her big sister, but blond instead of brown! She is a generally happy baby and loves to ride in the car. |
